Job description
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Technical buyer to strengthen and improve our Supply Chain Department within the technical side. As a Technical buyer we expect that you have a technical understanding and knowledge of how a production works and is set up, and how a supply chain works at a detailed level. Your job is to make sure that the different needs are met for stock, for orders, for R&D and internal production. You will be involved in sourcing and purchasing of parts for prototyping and sample production. Your job is also to develop and improve the relationship with the Suppliers you will be responsible for.

As INVISIO has outsourced manufacturing, most of your time will be spend on interacting with suppliers and secure they can meet our delivery requirements and cost targets. You will be in close contact with internal co-workers to coordinate and align our different needs.

Based on your technical skills you will be able to review our current processes, the efficiency, and overall productivity in all areas of our Supply Chain - both internal and external and on new and existing products.

This position requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, engineering-, manufacturing-, and quality co-workers, and communicate across various levels of the organization to support the day-to-day operations. The position also requires creative use of problem-solving and analytical skills combined with proven technical and supply chain expertise. This to provide innovative solutions to a complex Supply Chain and our manufacturing challenges.

Skills and Competences
To succeed in this job, you most likely hold either a Supply Chain / Logistical education and/or a proven technical background. Furthermore, you:

• Have experience in working with purchasing seen from a logistic and technical point of view
• Have experience in handling quotes with suppliers based on technical specifications
• Know how to support sourcing and procurement for projects and internal sample production
• Are capable of coordinating procurement between different stock locations
• Know how to optimize inventory parameters and stock levels – For the whole supply chain.
• Know how to work with QA related tasks in relation to inventory and towards suppliers
• Have knowledge about Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing Processes
• Have excellent skills in oral and written English and understands Scandinavian languages (useful)
• Have experience within IT, Microsoft programs and if possible, NAVISION ERP system

Yourself
You are an open-minded person with a passion for how a Supply Chain works. You have several years of experience with Supply Chain / Logistics and has a well-established technical knowledge. You have the knowledge to see the Supply Chain in a wider perspective and as a part of the whole business process. You are willing to accept 5-10 days of traveling per year.

You like working in cross-functional teams and have a practical focus on getting things done. You are independent and self-driven, and you take on the planning and coordination of your tasks, running them from start to finish. You have an analytic and structured approach and focus on how to get things to work in real life. You are enthusiastic with a high degree of personal initiative and you like to work with others in a dynamic and international environment.
